Long-life electronic grinder
For years, the mill manufacturer Mahlkönig has been a constant in the production and development of electronic coffee and espresso mills, especially for the gastronomic and industrial sectors. Particularly important features here are, on the one hand, the reliability of the grinding results and, on the other hand, the mill's durability. The powerful motor, for example, is designed for a service life of at least 25,000 grindings.
Suitable for home baristas
With the X54, Mahlkönig has created a grinder for home use that combines years of expertise with precision. With the X54, both filter coffee and espresso beans can be processed into homogeneous grinds to achieve the best brewing results from espresso to French press. The grinding speed is up to 2.8 g/s, depending on the selected grinding degree. The bean hopper has 500g capacity, more than enough for most home baristas. The height of the portafilter fork can be adjusted for optimal support of the portafilter.
Quiet disc grinder
The grind level of the X54 can be easily adjusted using the large dial. There are 35 levels, each of which is subdivided into half levels, to achieve the perfect grain size for every type of preparation. At 70 decibels, the grinder is extraordinarily quiet. The multifunctional LED display can be used to save several recipes for later recall. This means that there is no need to search for the optimum grind and waste precious beans when changing preparation methods.

Für die tägliche Reinigung sollten Sie das Gerät ausschalten und den Netzstecker abziehen. Anschließend wischen Sie das Gehäuse feucht ab und reinigen den Ausgabebereich. Regelmäßig ist der Bohnenbehälter zu reinigen. Wischen Sie diesen einfach feucht aus und entfernen die fettigen Kaffeerückstände. Zur Reinigung des Mahlwerks wird der Bohnenbehälter durch herausziehen des Verschlussmechanismus verschlossen. Anschließend wird die Mühle so lange laufen gelassen, bis kein weiteres Mahlgut mehr ausgeworfen wird. Ist die Mahlkammer leer, wird der Bohnenbehälter vom Gehäuse entfernt. Anschließend die Mahlkammer mit Mahlwerksreiniger befüllen (etwa 35g) und den Bohnenbehälter wieder aufsetzen. Durch den Start des Mahlvorgangs wird das Mahlwerk nun gereinigt. Um keine Rückstände des Reinigers mehr im Kreislauf zu haben, sollten mindestens zwei volle Bezüge mit Kaffeebohnen durchgeführt werden, bevor das Mahlgut wieder zum Aufbrühen von Kaffee genutzt wird.
