When selecting the beans for the De Luxe, the Mauro roastery opted for a ratio of 70% Arabica beans to 30% Robusta beans. The Arabica portion comes from cultivation areas in Brazil and Central America, the Robusta beans come from Asian provenances. In terms of taste, the De Luxe Espresso is fruity and spicy with notes of chocolate.
The spicy, fine espresso is slowly roasted for around 15 to 18 minutes. The roastery Mauro from Calabria pays attention to a pure roasting of the individual varieties. The crema of the De Luxe is creamy and dense, which is one of the reasons why this espresso is ideal for cappuccini and latte macchiatos. The Mauro is suitable for preparation in a portafilter as well as in a fully automatic coffee machine.
