The Eleane Mierisch Funky Natural Espresso is a very special microlot from the El Limoncillo farm in Nicaragua. Only beans of the Ethiosar variety are picked for the espresso. This is a hybrid variety that resulted from a cross between Rume Sudan, Sarchimor and Villa Sarchi. The coffee cherries were prepared funky natural.

What exactly is funky natural? Funky natural is a very special fermentation of the coffee beans. The fermentation is pushed to the limit of overfermentation. The result is that the flavor profile tastes extremely fruity and exceptional.
