The roots of the Saquella family business can be dated back to 1856. At that time, Clement Saquella founded a trade in colonial goods in Abruzzo. Today, the company has grown to become one of Italy's most influential coffee roasters. The management of the company remained in the hands of the family for over a century, and even today the company is run by family members. The company is located in the city of Pescara. Saquella Caffe' is one of the few Italian companies that has a private bonded warehouse located within the production area. This allows Saquella to guarantee a product that is in perfect condition thanks to quality and technical controls. The green coffees arrive here from all parts of the world and can be processed directly.

THE PRESERVATION OF THE FAMILY TRADITION

One of the most important family traditions is the preservation and the development of the recipes. They are strictly guarded and passed on only within the family. In order to satisfy the different market needs, more than 20 different types of green coffee are blended differently, roasted and packaged with modern equipment.
The philosophy of Saquella, besides the preservation of traditions, is based on quality. Quality, consolidated from more than a hundred years of experience, is still one of the main values of the company. The quality of espresso is based not only on the right selection of Arabica and Robusta, but also on the characteristics of the beans, such as taste and percentage of fats and oils. The green coffees are processed only after precise testing and control.

SAQUELLA IN THE WORLD

In the Italian market, the company supplies specifically in central Italy to bars, restaurants and traditional retail outlets. Saquella Caffe' is therefore one of the most established coffee roasters in the Italian market. In foreign markets, the process of internationalization of Saquella Caffe' began in the 70s.

THE "BAR ITALIA" SERIES

For the different tastes and preferences of its customers, Saquella has developed different series. The "Bar ITALIA" series is aimed primarily at the modern, young target group that prepares its coffee at home in fully automated machines. These include the strong and aromatic Bar Italia Espresso Gran Crema, the Bar Italia Extra Crema, which, as the name suggests, promises a lush crema, and the Bar Italia Gran Gusto.

THE "CLASSIC" SERIES

For its customers who prefer the classic and traditional coffee moment, Saquella has developed the "CLASSIC" series. This is primarily designed for preparation in the classic mocha pot or the manually operated machine. The series includes the traditional espresso blend Espresso Napoli and the well-known Blend Espresso Oro.
