BORBONE - WHERE COFFEE IS NOT JUST A DRINK, BUT CULTURE!

In Naples, the beautiful city in southern Italy, coffee is not just a drink or a daily ritual. Coffee is deeply rooted in the culture and practically runs through the blood of Neapolitans! Caffè Borbone aims to carry on the tradition of genuine Neapolitan espresso and give everyone an Italian-style moment of pleasure with a cup of coffee.

THE NAME CAFFÈ BORBONE

Caffè Borbone was founded in 1997 under the name "L'Aromatika" by Massimo Renda. Massimo Renda acquired some knowledge in the family coffee roasting business and started to sell coffee pad machines for offices in Naples and Caserta. Soon after, the company invested in its first own roasting machine, bought second-hand from a Neapolitan coffee roaster. Caffè Borbone is extremely close to home. The taste, the atmosphere and the love for good coffee of Naples should be reflected in the products.

In 2000, the company is renamed to its current name "Caffè Borbone". This was possible due to a special permission granted by Prince Charles of Bourbon. The affiliation to the coffee tradition should be emphasized, which originated at the time of the Bourbon rule. Naples was once the largest transshipment point for coffee in Italy, the second largest in Europe and the fifth largest in Europe. This gave rise to an iconic coffee culture in Naples. Residents use coffee as a social link, ritual and symbol of the city. Coffee is a true cult drink in Naples.

THE FIRST BLENDS OF CAFFÈ BORBONE

First of all, the Blue blend of Caffè Borbone was created, inspired by the color of the brand. This was followed by the intense and stronger Rossa/Red blend. In order to be able to offer a counterpart, they created the Oro, which is rather mild and very noble in taste.

CAFFÈ BORBONE'S VISION FOR THE FUTURE: SUSTAINABILITY AND PROTECTING THE CULTURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Today, Caffè Borbone is already a large, successful company and one of the largest producers of coffee in recyclable and compatible capsules. For Caffè Borbone, sustainability for people, the environment and the region is an important claim, which will be implemented even more extensively in the future. The coffees are to be produced responsibly and convey the social, cultural and artistic values of Italy. Borbone supports initiatives for environmental protection and is a cultural sponsor in Milan, Naples and Florence.
